The crystal clear, spring-fed waters of Cambridge’s Lake Ripley are ideal for swimming, power-boating, canoeing, jet skiing, waterskiing, sailing and fishing. A true sportsman’s paradise, Lake Ripley boasts the Wisconsin state record for large mouth bass. Enjoy a day at the beach at Lake Ripley Park with basketball courts, playground, tennis courts, and a disc golf-course.
Cambridge’s CamRock County Park, located along the banks of the Koshkonong Creek, is a sprawling 422 acre park featuring three shelters, play equipment, a canoe/kayak launch, a massive sledding hill, and prairie restorations. The extensive trails system at CamRock Park (suitable for biking, hiking, running, cross-country skiing, and show-shoeing) is a blend of wide and fast flowing trails that run through open fields, wooded single-track and advanced single-track. CamRock also features an expert loop which is considered one of the best off-road trails in the area. Photographers, birders, and nature enthusiasts will love walking the park and enjoying the area’s beauty all year round. Looking to expand your day of play? Bicyclists can spend a few hours or an entire day exploring nearby Glacial Drumlin State Bike Trail and peaceful country roads.
Cambridge is an artisan community with many rural art studios, a thriving Arts Council, and a tradition of hosting fabulous artist tours and events.
